There’s something super-villainous and anarchical about Glenn Beck’s style. The randomness, the corny humor, the fitful range of emotion, it all reminds me so much of the Joker. Someone needs to make a mash-up image of Beck in the joker mask, with “Paranoia” underneath it…  Ta-Nehisi Coates

WATCH THE SKIES!  PARANOIA AND CONSPIRACIES REIGN!

The flag of the communist Chinese regime has been raised over festivities near the White House honoring the restrictive nation’s 60th anniversary, according to videos posted on YouTube as well as reports from the Chinese Central television network’s English-language report…

“Words such as UNBELIEVABLE, UNREAL, HORRIFIC, OBSCENE, even TRAITOROUS quickly come to mind,” he wrote in a column. “Remember, the communist leaders of Mao’s China are not called the ‘Butchers of Beijing’ for nothing. Since seizing power in 1949, it is estimated that the communist government in China has murdered more than 50 million people (some reports say the number is over 70 million).”

“Hundreds of Chinese came together to celebrate the 60th anniversary of their home country,” the report said.

Organizers of the event stated it was the first time the Chinese national flag was raised in a public place in Washington.

“This is an outrage,” wrote on Fox forum page participant.

“Don’t believe a flag belonging to a Communist nation should ever be flown in this country, at the White House or anywhere else,” said a second. And a third added. “Which communists should we believe, OURS or theirs???”

This is madness!!!  What kind of leader would allow the flying of a communist regime’s flag, in our nation’s capitol?

WorldNetDaily, the propagandist mouthpiece for the Birthers, should really do a better job fact-checking their stories.  From Factcheck.org:

The conservative Web site WorldNetDaily reported on the original story, and the reports were then repeated on several blogs and talk radio shows. But the China Daily story is inaccurate.

As Fox News reported on Sept. 4, there is indeed a ceremony scheduled to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, but the White House says that the ceremony will take place on the Ellipse. The Ellipse, together with the North and South White House Lawns and Lafayette Park, constitute what is sometimes called President’s Park. Although the entire park is administered by the National Park Service, both Lafayette Park and the Ellipse are public parks that are distinct from White House grounds. Indeed, the National Park Service describes the Ellipse as the area “formed by an oval roadway directly south of the enclosed White House grounds.”

And as to the idea in that WorldNetDaily piece that the flag had never flown in a public place in Washington D.C., and the subsequent “outrage” that this episode has caused, check out this picture below.

Is that who I think it is?  With the Chinese flag behind him?  You know what?  I think it is a conspiracy.  Thanks for breaking it WorldNet Daily.  Too bad you couldn’t point that high powered lens of truth telling a little bit earlier.  Then, you could have uncovered this gem.  What a bunch of jackasses.

I think there’s enormous confusion and positioning and pandering. It may be entertaining, but from my perspective, it’s not. It’s pathetic.

Peter Wehner, a former advisor to President Bush says that Beck is “harmful to the conservative movement” because he’s “erratic,” “bizarre,” and is too interested in “conspiracy theories.”

Conservative MSNBC host Joe Scarborough says “You cannot preach hatred. You cannot say the president is racist. You cannot say things that have very deadly consequences. I was in Congress in 1995.  I know where this can end.”

Finally, let’s end with that fabulous race-baiter, and all around good guy Rush Limbaugh.  Limbaugh calls Beck’s role in promoting the 9-12 protest “shameful and disingenuous.”

It is on folks!  The irony here is Beck not only enjoys this negative attention, he probably encourages it.  Then he can claim that he speaks for the disenfranchised, not the establishment.

“I could go into great and long detail about how many things they did to try and eliminate the ‘monkey problem.’ But they never got it done, so finally this golf course and this golf course only, they passed a rule and the rule was – you have to play the ball where the monkey throws it. [audience laughter swells] And that is the rule in Washington all the time.”

While I am sensitive to anything that poisons an already toxic debate in Washington, I am not overly sensitive in cases like this.  Could he have used different words in describing his party’s fight?  Sure.  I don’t think this rises to the level of an out and out racist rant.  Believe me.  I know what those sound like.  What do you think?  Subtle racism, or plain old anecdote?

He ‘s a liar and a hypocrite.

Another day, another loss in court for the "birthers."

If I were a rude, illogical meat head, I would question this Orly Taitz’s citizenship. She claims the President isn’t a citizen, but she sounds like an Eastern European prostitute (I don’t really know what an Eastern European prostitute sounds like, but it works for my purposes here).  Listen to her rant irrationally on Dylan Ratigan’s show.  At some point in the interview, I really think he contemplated calling the INS on her.  Funny stuff.

Barack Obama, bourgeois in every way that bourgeois is right and just, will not dance. He tells kids to study–and they seethe. He accepts an apology for an immature act of rudeness–and they go hysterical. He takes his wife out for a date–and their veins bulge. His humanity, his ordinary blackness, is killing them. Dig the audio of his response to Kanye West–the way he says, “He’s a jackass.” He sounds like one of my brothers. And that’s the point, because that’s what he is. Barack Obama refuses to be their nigger. And it’s driving them crazy.

It’s about time.
